Evaluate your business continuity plans against the international Standard ISO22301

The service is designed to help your organisation identify what actions are required in order to meet internationally recognised best practice and, where appropriate, the requirements of ISO22301, the international Standard for business continuity management systems.

The Health Check’s key deliverable is an executive report which sets out in detail the areas for improvement in your business continuity management (BCM) arrangements. You will also receive a prioritised roadmap of recommended activities and solutions aimed at meeting internationally recognised best practice.

1. Evaluation of the business continuity risk environment

A high-level assessment of your organisation’s unique risk landscape will help to establish whether it will be able to deal confidently with the emergency response aspects of a disaster, irrespective of its nature, and recover critical business functions quickly.

2. An audit of your current business continuity management programme

This stage reviews your BCM programme and considers its relevance, comprehensiveness and practicality by assessing the following:

• BCM policy

• All business continuity plans and incident management plans

3. A gap analysis of your BCM arrangements in relation to ISO22301

• Policy review
• Audit process review
• Staff awareness and training

4. Development of a prioritised strategic roadmap

This phase will culminate in a report detailing the strengths, weaknesses and potential threats, including a high-level schedule to mitigate the gaps between your current BCM programme and the ideal ISO22301-aligned position. An executive report will be produced, which will include details of recommended actions, resources and support.

• One physical location in the UK for the on-site visit and audit.
• If your business is located outside mainland UK (England, Scotland and Wales), additional expenses will be charged to accommodate our consultant’s travel for the on-site assessment.
