The EU Cloud Code of Conduct Gap Assessment Tool will assess your organisation against the requirements of the EU Cloud Code of Conduct, enabling you to quickly identify compliance gaps and plan your implementation project.
The tool contains questions covering all of the EU Cloud Code of Conduct’s security control requirements, allowing you to assess your organisation’s current level of compliance and identify areas that need improvement to achieve certification.
Under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), data processors are required to ensure that the data processors they engage, including Cloud service providers, have appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure personal data and protect the rights of data subjects. Cloud service providers acting as data processors in a business-to-business (B2B) capacity can demonstrate compliance with these requirements by achieving certification under the EU Cloud Code of Conduct.
The EU Cloud Code of Conduct is only intended for use by Cloud service providers acting as data processors in a B2B capacity. It cannot be used in respect of business-to-consumer (B2C) services, or any services in which the Cloud service provider is acting as a data controller.
Our tool breaks down the requirements of the EU Cloud Code of Conduct into individual controls and provides assessment questions to determine your level of compliance. The tool aims to make the assessment process as easy as possible so you can plan an efficient and effective implementation project.
The tool features three tabs: ‘Instructions’, ‘Controls’ and ‘Summary’.
The ‘Instructions’ tab explains how to use the tool so you can complete the process easily.
The ‘Controls’ tab includes all requirements in the EU Cloud Code of Conduct, supported by assessment questions. Answer all the questions through the built-in drop-down menus to determine your current level of compliance.
The ‘Summary’ tab provides a graph for each control set and an indicator of overall completion status, so you can quickly identify the areas you need to address to achieve certification. It also lists the top controls that need attention, so you can clearly see where to prioritise.
The EU Cloud Code of Conduct Gap Assessment Tool is not designed for conducting a detailed and granular compliance assessment. If you require specialist help in this area, please contact us.
