Event: Cyber Essentials 2 – The UK Government Scheme to improve Cyber Security
Date: Thursday 17 July
Venue: Dexter House, No.2 Royal Mint Court, Tower Hill, London EC3N 4QN
Overview
Due to excess demand, IT Governance is to host a second event on the UK Government’s Cyber Essentials scheme on 17 July 2014. Our first event on 24 June 2014 sold out in just three weeks.
A high-profile list of government and industry figures will discuss the scheme, what you will need to do to qualify for Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus certification, and the need for businesses to develop cyber resilience.
The Cyber Essentials scheme has been developed by the UK Government to help organisations deal with the business-critical issue of cyber security.
Attend this event and learn first-hand from the UK Government’s Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) what you will need to do to qualify for Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
By attending this event you will gain valuable insights including:
- The latest information from the government on the Cyber Essentials scheme, compliance criteria, and the challenges of implementing Cyber Essentials.
- Guidance on the two certification levels: Cyber Essentials (Stage 1) and Cyber Essentials Plus (Stage 2).
- How the Cyber Essentials scheme is the ‘very minimum’ requirement, and that all organisations need to build cyber resilience.
- How international standards including ISO27001 and ISO22301 can facilitate cyber resilience.
- How to address the people, process and technology aspects of cyber security.
