IT Governance’s Chief Information Security Officer, Geraint Williams, will be speaking at the University of Bedfordshire on the 14th November 2019 to the Student branch of the British Computer Society (BCS) about Ransomware and the impact it had on organisations and individuals over the past few years.
Arranged by the CST School’s BCS Student Chapter / Beds Computing SU Society, this presentation looks at the phenomenon of ransomware and reviews the ransomware kill chain detailing the stages a ransomware attack goes through. Geraint will review the case study of UK-based company that suffered a ransomware attack and discuss the steps taken to help to protect and prevent future attacks.
